Odyssey is a year-long fellowship designed to help middle schoolers explore the world of work. At Odyssey, students work with coaches and industry experts to get exposure to future-ready career domains, discover their unique passions and strengths, acquire vital interdisciplinary skills, and take the first step towards building their college portfolio.

Founding Dean, ISB & founder, Ashoka University
Pramath is a polymath at large - he was a partner at McKinsey, then was the founding Dean at ISB, then the founder of Ashoka University and in his most recent avatar the founder of Harappa Education. He is also a published author and is considered one of the leading management thinkers in India. At Odyssey, he will focus on helping students learn how to embrace failure to build a growth mindset.

Laura McBain
MD, Hasso Plattner Institute, Stanford D School
Laura is the Managing Director of the K12 Lab at the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design at Stanford (d.school). She brings 25+ years of experience in transforming K12 schools. Her expertise includes project-based learning and design thinking. She pursued her M. Ed. from Harvard Graduate School of Education. At Odyssey, she will focus on helping students learn how to use 'how might we' statements to reframe problems.

Parameswaran Venkataraman
Ex-Director, IDEO
Param has spent 26 years in design and innovation leadership roles across companies like IDEO, Fractal.ai, Dr. Reddy’s, Kantar and Tata Digital. He is the co-founder of '3 Big Things', a behavioral design studio. He led the Experience Innovation Lab at Tata Digital and set-up a design thinking & innovation center at Dr. Reddy’s. Some of the work led by Param at IDEO is now a featured case study in IDEO U’s course on Designing for Change. At Odyssey, he will focus on helping students learn how to use empathy maps to understand user behaviors.

Dr. Ed Rogers
Ex-Chief Knowledge Officer, NASA, Goddard Center
Dr. Rogers served as the Chief Knowledge Officer at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center from 2003 to 2020. He has been a visiting faculty at Indian School of Business - ISB since 2009, where he teaches the topic of managing complexity. He earned his Ph.D. in Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior from Cornell University. At Odyssey, he will focus on helping students learn how to manage complexity to build a more effective team.

Kazim Rizvi is the Founding Director of The Dialogue, a public policy think-tank based out of New Delhi. An important voice in India’s tech policy ecosystem, Kazim works on the intersection of technology, policy and society, with a focus on evidence-based research and discourse.

Roshni Shanker
Founder, Migration & Asylum Project and Former Associate RSD Officer, UNHCR
Roshni Shanker is the Founder and Executive Director of the Migration and Asylum Project (MAP), India’s premier law center for forced migration. After her law degree and a corporate law stint, she pursued a Masters at Columbia Law School focusing on international law and human rights. Working with UNHCR across India, Egypt, and the UAE, she realized the need for legal assistance in displacement recovery, prompting her to establish MAP in India. MAP has institutionalized legal representation in the asylum process, a rarity authorized by UNHCR. Roshni has also taught International Refugee Law and contributed to several academic journals on forced migration.

Dr. Rohini Srivathsa
CTO, Microsoft India & South Asia
Dr. Rohini is the Chief Technology Officer at Microsoft India & South Asia. In her previous roles, she has been a VP for analytics at Fidelity Investment, a CTO at Jana Small Finance Bank, Partner at IBM global services and a consultant at BCG. A Wharton School alumnus, she has completed her PhD in Computer Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. At Odyssey, she will focus on helping students learn how to think about bias and ethics while creating solutions with data.

Shreyasi Singh
Founder & CEO, Harappa Education
Shreyasi has spent 2 decades in the field of journalism and education entrepreneurship. She is the founder and CEO of Harappa Education. She was also the editor of the Indian edition of Inc. magazine and a regular contributor to HT Mint. As a founding member, she was instrumental in setting up the Vedica Scholars Programme to equip women in India with the potential to realize their aspirations and build careers of distinction. At Odyssey, she will focus on helping students learn how to reflect on their experiences to craft a compelling personal story.

Nikhil Poonawala
CTO, Toddle
Nikhil is the co-founder and CTO of Toddle, a teaching and learning platform for progressive schools. He had a passion for technology from a young age, teaching himself programming in grade 5. He graduated from Dhirubhai Ambani Institute where he joined a startup in his freshman year and swiftly climbed the ranks to lead the engineering team. He later co-founded Dekorate, a venture offering interior design as a service, where he served as CTO. At Odyssey, he will focus on helping students learn how to use logic to analyse programming problems.

Priya Sathiyam
Design Director - CPG, Fractal.ai
Priya is currently heading the Design Practice for CPG Industry working closely with organizations like P&G, Nestle and PepsiCo to embed the Decision Backward way of solving problems. She spent 15+ years at SAP growing from a UX designer to a Design Evangelist for all SAP products. She is an alumnus of BITS Pilani. She is truly a designer at heart, engineer at hand and educator in head. At Odyssey, she will focus on helping students learn how to use wireframes to build better prototypes.

Dr Manu Chaudhary
Consultant, Infectious Diseases and Pediatrics, Rainbows Children’s Hospital
Dr. Manu Chaudhary is an American Board Certified Pediatrician and Pediatric Infectious Disease Specialist, and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. After completing her MBBS from Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, she pursued her residency and fellowship from the USA. Her externships were at Harvard Medical College & Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She is a recipient of Early Career Award by Thrasher Research Fund and STS by Indian Council of Medical Research.

At Odyssey, she will leverage her rich educational background and clinical experience to mentor students on the critical thinking and innovative problem-solving necessary to excel in medical sciences.

A transformative week at our Bengaluru Basecamp

During the summer break our fellows will unite for a week of unparalleled learning in Bengaluru. They will visit leading companies
and learn from industry experts, all while bonding through shared living experiences.
Company Visits
Fellows will embark on 4 extensive day-long journeys to leading companies. They will witness firsthand companies’ organisational structures and delve into the daily challenges they tackle. These visits will offer our fellows a doorway into the world of corporate operations.
Expert Workshops
Fellows will join sessions led by industry experts. They’ll explore topics from the science behind their favourite mobile games to how to build a cattle trading app for rural India, connecting classroom knowledge to real-world situations.
Shared Living Experience
Students will live and work together, fostering friendships and teamwork. Evenings will be packed with fun activities, group projects, and opportunities to learn from each other and mentors.
